Description
The Communications Manager develop and deliver the programme communications strategy and ensure an innovative and coordinated approach to communications and engagement. Key stakeholders will include staff, the public, patients, key opinion formers, political stakeholders and the media.
- You will be responsible for the development and delivery of a programme of work which covers all of the above workstreams.
- You will need to have excellent knowledge and understanding of key communications in managing both internal and external communications.
- Leading and managing communications activity in a senior communications / engagement /PR role in a complex public, private or voluntary sector environment.
- Track record of strong commitment to partnership working, stakeholder management and the development and sustaining a range of appropriate networks.
- The post holder will be expected to have a high level of professional knowledge, skills in the field of communications and public relations.
Profile
A successful Communications Manager should have:
- A degree in communications, marketing, business, or related field.
- Proven background in PR and broad communications including internal and external communications along with stakeholder engagement.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- PR, including designing and project managing multi-channel creative campaigns incorporating the full marketing mix
- Media handling - both proactive and reactive and including issues management
- Reputation management
- Ability to manage stakeholder in a complex environment
