Care Plus require caring individuals in the Portadown and surrounding area to provide care for elderly, disabled and convalescent clients to enable them to remain in their own homes maintaining an independent lifestyle. This would be on a block rota working a 4/3 two weekly shift pattern. This involves working Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday on week one and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday on week two, repeating. Care Plus are not registered to offer any kind of sponsorship visas to the UK so please make sure you are situated in the UK or Common Travel Area of Ireland and have the relevant work visa before applying. Interviews and training is located in Armagh with work being based in the Portadown area of Northern Ireland, so ideally we are looking for individuals who are within an easy commute.

- Helping clients in and out of bed (using hoist if required) washing, dressing and toileting.
- Bathing/showering client, Personal Care
- Meal Preparation
- Bed making, laundry duties, shopping.
- Assisting with regular exercise (walks) where appropriate
- Record information on service plan sheets
- To provide cover for other carers who are off sick or on annual leave

Essential Criteria
- Have the ability to take on a range of personal tasks in accordance with each clients Care Plan
- Have the ability to work as a team member
- Have use of a mobile-phone
- Have use of or access to a car
- Have good communication skills
- Be willing to undertake mandatory training as required e.g. (First Aid – Manual Handling – Food Hygiene etc.)
- A friendly caring attitude
- The ability to be flexible
- Good organisational skills
- Good observational skills
- General good health
- Please be aware that enhanced disclosure checks with Access NI are required
Desirable Criteria
- NVQ level 2 or 3 in caring desirable but not essential as training will be given
- Experience of working in the Caring field either in formal/community setting
- A geographical knowledge of the area
