Hays are actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Community Mental Health Team Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for Mental Health to lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of professionals.
Your new role
You will have responsibility for the management and supervision of the Community Mental Health Team.
This is an integrated health and social care team and the manger will line manage and supervise both health and social care staff and be accountable for the standard of practice which must be delivered according to the Policies and Procedures of both Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust and Oldham Borough Council.
Key Responsibilities
- You will provide strong leadership to the team to ensure it performs in the most efficient and effective way ensuring all key performance indicators are met whilst providing a safe and high quality service.
- To act as a Safeguarding Adults manager providing advice and managerial direction in line with Safeguarding Adults processes and procedures to the team.
- To observe and practice within the legal requirements of the Mental Health Act 1983 and Mental Capacity Act and act as a resource on this matter to the team.
- To ensure commissioning of care for service users is carried out using the local authorities systems and processes, adhering to eligibility under The Care Act (2014) and ensuring responsibilities are discharged according to local authority procedures and guidelines.
What you'll need to succeed
- Registered Mental Health professional with relevant post-registration experience
- Experience in managing a multidisciplinary team in a Mental Health setting
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure

- Weeknights £35 per hour
- Saturdays £35 per hour
- Sundays £42 per hour
