Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide care and assistance to individuals in need. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping individuals with various tasks and activities, ensuring their well-being and comfort.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support and assistance to individuals in their daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Assist with behavior management and provide emotional support to individuals.
- Help individuals with mobility and perform heavy lifting when necessary.
- Drive individuals to appointments or outings as required.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for individuals under your care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as nurses, to ensure the best possible care for individuals.
- Provide hospice care and support to individuals nearing the end of life.
- Follow care plans and document any changes or observations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals.
- Compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (if driving is required).
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as needed.
