Community Support Worker
37.5 hours per week
£30,318.20 actual per annum
Based at Hanson Lane Enterprise Centre & across community settings
Fixed term contract until 31st March 2025
We are seeking an experienced, dedicated and compassionate Community Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing crucial support and assistance to individuals within our community who are facing various challenges.
As a Community Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in connecting with individuals, understanding their needs, and empowering them to overcome obstacles. You will be based within various settings across Park Ward to ensure a wide reach across the communities.
You will need:
Ø Experience within a similar role
Ø An in-depth knowledge and understanding of the needs of multi-generational families/individuals with multiple and complex problems.
Ø Experience in delivering one to one guidance to support disadvantaged individuals/families to overcome challenges, including but not limited to; housing, finances, access to healthcare, navigating statutory services & form filling
Ø Grade C or above in GCSE English (or equivalent)
Ø To be able to communicate with a diverse range of communities and individuals
