Our client, a well-established and privately owned Exeter based company, is currently seeking an experienced Company Accountant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This Company Accountant opportunity offers excellent benefits alongside flexible working arrangements.
You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day accounting operations while actively contributing to the company’s growth and success.
The responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, encompassing accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare budgets and deliver monthly and daily figures to management to monitor target progress.
- Generate financial statements, reports, and forecasts such as balance sheets and cash flow statements to offer insights into business performance.
- Analyse financial data to detect trends, opportunities, and areas for enhancement.
- Collaborate with management to devise and execute strategies for business growth and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards, including preparing for and participating in financial audits.
- Offer insights and recommendations to senior management to facilitate decision-making processes.
- Oversee Payroll processing, including PAYE and HMRC responsibilities.
The candidate:
- AAT qualified or PQ ACCA, CIMA, ACA is advantageous but candidates qualified by experience will also be considered.
- Proven experience working in a similar position, ideally within the automotive industry.
- Excellent Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are required.
