My client is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the London office to serve as the first Company Secretary. The primary focus of this role is to contribute to the development and delivery of corporate administration services for a diverse portfolio of clients and entities in the UK. Working closely with the Director and other team managers, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining and expanding client relationships. This role is anticipated to evolve into a line management position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of transaction management, including organising and attending client meetings, and drafting complex minutes and resolutions
- Act as a higher authority on day-to-day administration queries, serving as a 4-eyes signatory, ensuring adherence to company policies, procedures, and guidelines for a high-quality client service
- Support team alignment and consistency through rigorous process analysis, acting as a mentor to junior staff and contributing to their training and development
- Contribute to business improvement by identifying process enhancements, policy and procedure improvements, and other service innovations to enhance the client experience
- Ensure team understanding and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies, particularly those related to anti-money laundering, terrorist financing prevention, suspicious activity reporting, client due diligence, and record-keeping
- Exemplify positive leadership behaviours, acting as a role model within the team.
Hybrid Work Model:
1-2 days per week in the office.
Key skills:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in corporate administration services
- Strong technical knowledge of statutory laws, legal, and regulatory requirements
- Excellent academic background and relevant professional qualifications, such as chartership with the CGI or an equivalent degree
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to delivering the highest standards of client service, understanding client needs and providing effective solutions
- Strong working knowledge of Viewpoint (an advantage)
- Ability to provide sound and commercial advice
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to achieving excellence for oneself, clients, and the team
