As the Compliance Engineer, your responsibility is to guarantee that equipment maintenance and inspections adhere to relevant statutory laws, regulations, and guidelines, as well as the company's internal policies, safeguarding company assets.
Operating as a key figure in the Engineering department, you report directly to the Works Engineer, overseeing the implementation and adherence to applicable Legislation, British and European Standards, and the Business Code of Practice.
Responsibilities of the Compliance Engineer
- Identify ways to enhance maintenance and inspection processes by implementing best practices and cost-effective solutions for both short and long-term objectives.
- Collaborate with fellow site engineers to guarantee comprehensive maintenance plans that align with legal requirements, regulations, company policies, and external guidelines are in place, ensuring timely completion of any external resources.
- Oversee the CMMS to ensure department engineers are well-versed in best practices.
Ensure that the job catalogue covers all aspects of required statutory and mandatory inspections and maintenance. - Supervise the business's statutory reporting system to ensure proper registration of all assets and the implementation of correct reports and inspection schedules.
- Generate regular reports indicating Compliance Engineer the in specified areas, investigating any overdue or outstanding inspections or remedial work.
- Coordinate and manage contractors for the servicing and maintenance of equipment and systems throughout the business.
To excel in the role of Compliance Engineer, you should be an experienced engineer, preferably holding a degree or equivalent qualification, possessing in-depth knowledge of your specific engineering discipline, and having a practical understanding of other related disciplines.
