Job Description
- The jobholder will identify improvement opportunities in maintenance & inspection processes using best practice and the most cost-effective solutions to achieve short and long-term goals.
- The jobholder will be able to communicate with the other site engineers to ensure they have maintenance plans in place to cover all aspects of compliance with all laws, regulations, company policies and guidance and any external resource is planned and completed in a timely manner.
- Manage the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure department engineers understand best practice, and that the job catalogue is suitable and covers all aspects of statutory and mandatory inspection and maintenance.
- Own the business statutory reporting system (Prime) to ensure all assets are registered and have the correct reports and inspection regimes in place.
- Produce regular reports to show the level of compliance across the specified areas, they will be able to investigate reasons around any overdue or outstanding inspections or remedial work.
- Keep up to date with any changes to current legislation and communicate these to other engineers.
- Coordinate contractors to service and maintain equipment & systems across the business.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Compliance Engineer should have:
- The jobholder will be an experienced engineer, ideally educated to degree level or equivalent with a detailed knowledge of their appropriate engineering discipline and with a working knowledge of other disciplines.
- Proven experience in a compliance role within the Industrial / Manufacturing industry
- Excellent influencing skills
- A thorough understanding of regulatory standards and safety protocols
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
