Compliance Manager

Our client operates within legal services.

They are currently looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to join their team and have day to day responsibility for all compliance matters across the firm to ensure that the firm is complaint with all regulatory requirements but also to work with staff across the firm to champion a positive risk and compliance culture.

• Managing all aspects of firm compliance (SRA, Lexcel, GDPR, Anti Money Laundering etc)
• Dealing with a range of risk and compliance issues including confidentiality, conflicts of interest and disclosure
• Reviewing and drafting policies against relevant regulations
• Designing and performing regular monitoring and auditing
• Providing audit reports
• Reporting on compliance and quality matters and risks and making and implementing appropriate recommendations
• Providing advice, training and support to the firm on all compliance matters including induction for new starters
• Assisting in claims and complaints handling
• Maintaining registers
• Completing third party due diligence checks
• Undertaking regulatory risk assessments

Skills Required:

• Sound knowledge and experience of working in Compliance within a regulated sector, ideally within a legal environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• Excellent organisation skills
• Effective communication skills
• Able to work on own initiative
• Able to work under pressure to set deadlines
