Compliance Manager – Energy from Waste

£65,000 plus bonus & car allowance

Harrogate, North Yorkshire

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit an experienced Compliance Manager to lead & set compliance & HSEQ standards in charge of a small team on an industrial site (EfW Power Plant)

In this newly created role & reporting to the Maintenance Manager, as the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for:

•          Support the director as part of the management team by delivering components of an IMS (integrated Management System)

•          Manage the IMS system locally via use of MS Sharepoint

•          Manage a small HSEQ team

•          Develop an employee training plan & programme to maintain competence

•          Liaise with HSE, Environment agency & other external regimes such as planning

•          Other duties as required

To be considered for this role you should have:

•          NEBOSH in Occupational Health & Safety

•          NEBOSH in Environmental Management

•          Experience leading & motivating a small team of HSEQ people

•          Excellent record keeping ability & ideally experience with MS Sharepoint systems

•          It would be advantageous to have an understanding of Waste & Energy from Waste technologies such as thermal power, Anaerobic Digestion or Waste Recycling facilities

What’s on offer?

•          Salary range from £55,000 to £65,000 depending on experience

•          24 days leave (plus BH)
