Salary: Up to £34,000pa
Contract: Permanent

My client, a top off-shore law firm, is seeking to recruit a Risk & Compliance professional to join them on a permanent basis in their Southampton office, working as their new Compliance Monitoring Assistant.

The main purpose of the position is to undertake Compliance Monitoring in accordance with their projects and programmes. As the successful Compliance Monitoring Assistant, you’ll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:

• Undertaking Compliance Monitoring across the firm
• Undertaking Compliance Monitoring to ensure alignment with regulatory compliance laws
• Escalating material findings and trend to the Compliance Monitoring Manager
• Assisting with Compliance Monitoring reviews and the preparation of reports (including identifying areas of weakness)
• Managing the closure of findings and recommendations
• Ensuring that Compliance Monitoring testing is completed to a timely manner

To qualify for this Compliance Monitoring Assistant, you’ll have to be/have the following:

• Must have experience with Compliance Monitoring/auditing
• Must have knowledge of regulatory compliance laws and Anti-Money Laundering
• Must have experience of CDD and on-boarding (from a LAW FIRM) environment
• Ideally, working towards (or hold) the ICA Certificate in AML or Compliance
• Be able to prioritise and multi-task
• Be able to demonstrate a willingness to enhance your personal skills and attributes
