Our client based in Milton Keynes is looking to recruit a Compliance Officer to join their growing team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate for this role will have a property related law degree or equivalent, good knowledge of Word and Excel and the ability to work on your own initiative.
Duties for the Compliance Officer role:
- Carry out research, investigate claims and provide reports on liability.
- Draft letters and defences in respect of claims under guidance of the specialist caseworker.
- Researching and drafting advice under the caseworkers' guidance.
- Undertake training in respect of professional indemnity, Public Liability and County Court Claims.
- Keeping up to date with current case law in respect of property management, undertaking research and providing guidance notes to the business.
- Assisting the caseworker as required and carrying out all related administration.
Requirements for the Compliance Officer role:
- Law degree and the desire to work on the property side of law
- Understand the difference between a leasehold and freehold property
- Excellent communication skills
- Keen to learn with the ability to work on own initiative and to deadlines
- Strong knowledge of Word and Excel
The working hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm or 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
