Randstad is currently seeking a dependable and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join our team and support a secondary school in the Blackpool area. This position starts after the April half term up to the Summer Holidays, with the potential for a permanent placement at the school.

For this long-term role, the ideal candidate should demonstrate a solid understanding of Computer Science principles and programming languages, excellent communication skills to engage and motivate students, the ability to create an inclusive and positive learning environment, experience in developing curriculum and lesson plans, and a genuine enthusiasm for continuous learning.

Position Details:

• Pay Rate: £140.00 - £220.00
• Location: Blackpool
• Start Date: 15th April, 2024
• End Date: N/A (Long term with Potential for permanent placement)

Job Responsibilities:

• Contribute to subject development by creating, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans
• Teach assigned classes, providing a well-planned, challenging, and purposeful learning environment
• Encourage self-directed learning using technology as a support tool
• Utilise assessment data to inform lesson planning
• Assign and promptly assess homework
• Ensure high-quality teaching and learning experiences
• Handle immediate problems/emergencies according to school policy
• Respond to student inquiries
