Job description
Conference Producer
We are looking for an enthusiastic, commercially minded and highly organised individual to shape the strategy and future direction of our successful conferences, in addition to webinars and other new events in the company pipeline.
Our Conference Producer will research, write and deliver high quality and innovative agendas, identify and secure industry speakers and delegates, project manage the production of each event, and ensure their commercial viability.
This is an exciting, fast-paced role offering real responsibility. The ideal candidate will already have at least one year's experience producing conference agendas, with demonstrable research and people skills - someone who can take on the challenge of driving an event from conception to completion.
Responsibilities will include:
* In-depth desk and telephone/video call research into target markets, hot topics, key trends
* Working with an Executive Steering Committee of industry experts and leading online meetings
* Writing industry-targeted agendas with commercial awareness
* Identifying, inviting and securing speakers and delegates on the telephone and face-to-face
* Project managing event production to deadline
* Liaising with and organising the speakers prior to and on the day of the conference
* Working closely with the Sales Team, Events Team and Marketing Team to coordinate a successful event
* Assisting the Events Team when required during busy periods
* Attending all conferences to assist in the smooth running of each event
You will need to have:
* A professional, calm, courteous and friendly manner
* A commercial mind and determination to succeed
* An excellent eye for detail
* A proactive, positive and 'can do' attitude
* An ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
* Maturity and versatility
* Problem solving, self-motivation and initiative
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Please note that this role is not for event organising and logistics, rather the research, content and product development side. The successful candidate will have a minimum of one year's work experience producing conference agendas within B2B events.
This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of 3 days per week in our office in central London. You may also be required to travel to our Leatherhead office from time to time. In addition, as international travel will form part of your duties in order to attend events, a valid passport will be necessary.
If the above sound like you, do not hesitate to apply now for consideration!
