The role
As a Construction Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. The Construction Manager will ensure the successful delivery of all process, plant and equipment installation on behalf of Cavendish Nuclear on our client's site.
Day to day, you'll be managing the installation of plant equipment on a client site. You will be responsible for the completion of all process, plant and equipment and associated services installation and documentation to enable handover to commissioning.
Other responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the completion of all P&E and associated services installation documentation to enable handover to commissioning
- Ensuring that Cavendish Nuclear and contractors comply with the relevant clients processes and procedures
- Working with the Planner to accurately schedule the installation of the P&E and civil services on site
- Management of the installation contractor in all aspects both leading up to and including site works.
- Responsible for safety on the site.
This is a full time role, working 37-hours per week, with a hybrid arrangement of 2-3 days working in the office, and the rest from home. Must be willing and able to travel to client site (Reading).
Essential experience of the Construction Manager
- Substantial experience in construction management within a brownfield environment (ideally in a nuclear facility) undertaking the installation of plant equipment
- Relevant NEBOSH Safety Certificate
- Previous experience managing installation subcontractors
- Experience of deploying teams safely within the engineering construction industry.
Qualifications for the Construction Manager

The successful candidate will need to satisfy national security requirements (this will include obtaining 'Developed Vetting' (DV) level of security clearance).
