Are you an enthusiastic, dynamic and experienced clinical pharmacist with a keen interest in Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) and Infection Prevention?
Are you already working as a Consultant Pharmacist or working towards Credentialing as set by the Royal Pharmaceutical Society?
Would you like to lead AMS in North Wales, coordinating the work programmes of the other Antimicrobial Pharmacists, and supporting the Consultant Microbiologist and infection prevention team in developing the organisation wide culture that reduces hospital acquired infection and supports prudent use of antimicrobials?

The ability to collaborate with primary care colleagues is essential to ensure regional and national Antimicrobial resistance program actions are delivered.
The successful candidate must have strong reasoning and judgement skills, excellent interpersonal skills and able to network both at regional and national level. We are seeking an individual who has a proven track record of delivery in this specialist field and a passion for service improvement.
Lead for antimicrobial stewardship across North Wales.
Responsible for leading, managing, strategically developing and delivering highly specialist medicines management services related to antimicrobial agents, for the treatment and prophylaxis of infections across BCUHB and North Wales. Contributing to the whole health community’s management of antimicrobials and influencing pharmacy practice.
Design curriculum, plan and deliver specialist training on medicines management of antimicrobial agents across multidisciplinary staff groups in primary and secondary care across North Wales.
Provide expert advice at highly specialist level on pharmaceutical matters relating to antimicrobial agents. Support and lead the development of guidelines to optimise antimicrobial stewardship.
Lead, plan and undertake clinical audit and research in relation to antimicrobial stewardship.
Practise as an expert Consultant Antimicrobial Pharmacist and non medical prescriber.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
