This is a really exciting opportunity for a highly organised with a background in communications to join our growing Communications & CSR team based at our brand new state of the art Head Office in Tolworth, within easy reach of Central London.

Working closely with the consumer comms team you’ll play an integral role in managing the busy Consumer Press Office, multiple events and working across integrated marketing projects.
You’ll need to be a people person, with impeccable writing skills and attention to detail, a natural instinct for problem solving and the ability to work with personnel at all levels across the business.
We have moved to a hybrid working model with a recommended 2 days in the office per week for appropriate Head Office and Regional roles, empowering our teams to choose how and where they work best. We feel it is important that, where possible, we offer our colleagues as much flexibility as possible and trust our teams to determine the right environments that work most effectively for them.
What you'll do
- Working alongside the team on the day-to-day management of Lidl’s busy Consumer Press Office, responding to issues and enquiries on a range of subject matters
- Building and coordinating national, regional and trade business announcements regarding Lidl product launches and campaigns
- Management of event logistics and coordination including domestic and international press trips, wine tastings and Christmas events
- Developing communications materials including briefing documents, press releases, presentations and background research?
- Staying on top of wider news agenda - informing communications team of relevant stories
- Compiling and coordinating reports on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis
- Supporting with management of budget and invoice processing
What you'll need
- 1-2 years experience within a consumer communications role either at an agency of in-house preferred but not essential
- Interested in a career in the retail sector and an understanding of the role of Lidl within it
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong time management skills and the ability to work across several projects at once
- Natural flair for problem solving
- Proactive and hands on, with a drive to continuously improve
- Exceptional writing skills, with an eye for detail and the ability to adapt to the company’s tone of voice
- Excellent command of English grammar, with both verbal and written communication skills
