About the role

It's an exciting time to join AXA Commercial's Direct Marketing team, with significant investment planned in all UK&I businesses to transform, deliver new digital services to our customers and streamline and automate our business processes. To help us drive strong brand awareness and Social engagement, we're looking for a talented individual to join the team.

As Content and Social Media Executive, you'll be responsible for leading our organic Social Media strategy, post creation and delivery, as well as supporting on content creation and paid distribution across social channels.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at our Glasgow office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you'll be doing:

  • Deliver our Social Media strategy to drive brand awareness, increase audience engagement and drive traffic to our website.
  • Plan and deliver a social content plan and support key marketing activations, pitching ideas and driving them through a production process to completion.
  • Manage a small budget for social promotion and boosting posts in line with financial goals.
  • Work with our partner agencies on social planning and asset creation.
  • Liaise with other social teams across the wider AXA business to coordinate social calendars.
  • Deliver a paid content distribution strategy, creating ad assets to support marketing campaigns.
  • Create high-quality web content, engaging content landing pages, and provide content writing support.
  • Perform social listening and monitor customer feedback and interactions, escalating issues to the relevant teams.
  • Produce reports on social growth and interaction.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business and wider agency teams to ensure consistency of messaging across AXA social channels.
  • Stay up to date with the changing needs of our small business, landlord and van driver customers to produce content that resonates with our target market.

About you

What we’re looking for:

  • Recent experience in a Social Media Marketing role. This could be as a freelancer.
  • Experience working in a commercially focused environment, with an understanding of content marketing strategies and driving results through social.
  • Self-directed, positive and enthusiastic problem solver with the ability to pitch ideas and push our strategy forward.
  • Able to quickly and effectively build strong rapport with key stakeholders and agency partners.
  • Experience of managing social promotion budgets.
  • Highly organised and able to work independently to juggle multiple projects and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to analyse data, produce reports and communicate results effectively back to the business.
  • Good knowledge of the current and expected future landscape of Social Media and content marketing.
  • Experience of working with Social Media scheduling and management systems, CMS and Google Analytics.
  • Understanding of the UK small business marketplace and the needs of our small business owner audience.
  • Ability to provide other content writing and copy support as required.
