Job Description
- Researching the industry and keeping up to date with market trends
- Speaking regularly to experts to build a solid understanding of the industry
- Producing insightful and commercially viable agendas under the guidance of the Editorial Content Manager
- Copywriting content based on research for live and digital events
- Inviting and recruiting industry experts as speakers and/or moderators
- Managing speaker relations throughout production cycles
- Briefing speakers/moderadors on editorial and logistic deliverables for all events, whether live or digital
- Collecting and vetting presentations
- Assistance with on-site and digital editorial deliverables
- Managing sessions at live events and ensuring optimal development
- Working in collaboration with the marketing department to provide content for each campaign
- Working in collaboration with the commercial department to deliver editorial inclussions in sponsorship & exhibition deals
- Building speaker database and keeping it up to date
- Hitting strict deadlines
Qualifications
- Background (degree and/or working experience) in journalism, market research, or another research-based subject
- Experience working in the event sector (i.e., conferences, exhibitions, festivals, etc.)
- Experience in digital content production will be appreciated (i.e., podcasts, radio, video, news portals, etc.)
- Experience and/or knowledge of the maritime and logistics industry
Candidates must be eligible to work in the country for which they are applying.
Skills required:
- 1-2 years of experience in content and/or conference production
- Qualitative and quantitative research, assessing the relevance of the sources
- Rapid and effective information assimilation, identifying key patterns and trends from a variety of viewpoints
- Copywriting skills for different formats, incorporating key data
- Ability to prepare and ask relevant questions in live and digital different formats (i.e., interviews, discussion, podcast, etc.)
- Effective communication over email, phone and in person with high-level industry and governmental stakeholders
- Familiar with digital content production and social media copywriting formats
- Deadline driven role and must adhere to pre-agreed deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in collaboration with other departments
- Negotiation and networking skills
- Ability to build and grow professional relations
- Strong IT skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Zoom
