AddressContent Strategist and Copywriter
At Rapid7, we have a robust Content Team to cover our diverse business practices. We’re currently seeking a skilled writer and Content Strategist to help us run fast and far. As a Content Strategist and Copywriter, you will develop a content strategy that reaches security practitioners, leaders, and the cybersecurity industry at large. You will spend ample time partnering with Campaigns and Growth teams to deliver content programs and experiences that drive engagement and demand. This role will play an integral part amplifying Rapid7’s brand and reach.
About the Role
You will be responsible for developing a strategy that promotes thought leadership across topics like detection and response technology, managed security services, cloud security, and more.
In this role, you will:
Develop and execute a content marketing strategy to engage key personas using highly relevant content throughout the customer journey
Develop and implement creative assets and best practices to ensure content is consistently and effectively positioned across all target segments
Partner with Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, PR and Internal SME teams to ensure content is aligned to each target segment, drives lead generation and fuels PR efforts
Partner with creative agencies to deliver everything from website experiences to animated videos
Contribute to a functional content calendar including blog calendar based on audience insights, keyword research, messaging themes, and campaign plans
Ensure all content is consistent in terms of style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience for all channels of content including online, social media, email, and video
Facilitate monthly and quarterly planning sessions with cross-functional teams
Implement standards, systems, best practices and templates for content
The skills you’ll bring include:
3+ years of content strategy experience, preferably in the B2B technology/SaaS space
Portfolio of high-quality, long and short-form content
Ability to adapt writing style to varying target audiences and content formats
Some SEO research skills
Self-starter and independent, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple disparate workstreams
Ability to think strategically about complex problems and provide insightful recommendations, action plans, and outcomes
Team player with a collaborative mindset
BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
