An opportunity to assist a well respected business for a short-term temporary contract based at their facility in Stroud, Gloucestershire. I am looking for a skilled CNC machinist (Milling or Turning) for a 3 month contract working in a busy machine sjhop and working with exotic materials.
Contract CNC Machinist - Double Day Shift
Duration: 3 months
Location: Stroud
Purpose:
The role provides the business with the skills to set and operate the CNC machines in line with the delivery requirements of the business, ensuring that products are produced efficiently; that they are of the right quality, quantity, and cost; and that they are produced on time.
Key Duties: CNC Machinist
- Run the machines in line with the speeds and feeds called up by the programs and monitor performance.
- Carry out in cycle inspection of the parts produced, using micrometres, verniers and coordinate measuring machine reports.
- Where changes are necessary provide feedback to Production Engineering
- Ensure good and professional communication is maintained with your opposite DDS machinist during shift handover.
- Ensuring Non-Conforming parts are reported immediately, with root cause established and documented and pasted to the Machine Shop Supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills Training & Experience: CNC machinist
- Full indentured apprenticeship or relevant knowledge & experience highlighted on CV.
- Experienced in all aspects of workshop practise.
- Experience in all aspects of Production Machining both Manual & CNC.
- Experience and knowledge in working with Duplex and Nickel Alloy Materials.
- Good numerical and literacy skills
- Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, email and internet.
