Location: Stroud
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 07:00 am - 03:45 pm, Friday early finish 07:00 am - 12:45 pm
Salary: 28,000 - 33,000 DOE
Purpose:
Join our client's team and contribute your skills to efficiently set up and operate CNC machines. Your role is crucial in ensuring the timely production of high-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritise safety, adhering to Health and Safety policies to ensure a secure work environment.
- Maintain quality standards by inspecting and cleaning parts, adhering to 5S principles.
- Set up machines using provided instructions and tools, ensuring accurate production.
- Follow work schedules and instructions from Production Supervisors for seamless operations.
- Record production hours accurately and report any non-productive time.
- Monitor machine performance and adjust as needed to meet production targets.
- Conduct in-cycle inspections using precision tools and document findings.
- Provide feedback for improvement in CNC programs and setups.
- Collaborate with colleagues for efficient resource utilisation and shift handovers.
- Support apprenticeship programs and on-the-job learning initiatives.
- Promptly report non-conforming parts and assist in root cause analysis.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Completed apprenticeship or equivalent experience in machining.
- Proficient in workshop practices and CNC machining.
- Familiarity with Duplex and Nickel Alloy Materials preferred.
- Strong numerical and literacy skills.
- Competent in MS Office applications and internet use.
Overtime:
- Weekdays: 1.5 x basic hourly rate
- Saturday: 1.5 x basic hourly rate
- Sunday: 2 x basic hourly rate
