Contract It Support

Spectrum IT's Southampton client are looking to recruit a Contract IT 1st Line Support Analysts to join them for 3 months to cover a maternity/paternity leave. The role has been deemed Inside IR35 and will have Hybrid Working requiring 3 days in the office each week. If you have excellent communication skills; previous IT support experience and love to provide a high level of customer service this could be the role for you!

As a member of the help desk team you will be the first point of contact for day to day IT office support issues and report in the IT Systems Architect Utilising your previous IT support experience you will support hardware, user creation/profile resets, basic systems administration and software troubleshooting.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• To be the first point of contact and Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person at the office.
• Deliver an exceptional level of customer service via phone and email and provide 1st time resolutions where possible.
• Provide technical troubleshooting support for desktop software and hardware technologies.
• Deploy workstations, devices, printers and peripherals.
• Daily systems monitoring and administrative operational processes.
• Escalating support tickets through to the 2nd Line when required.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in an IT support role at 1st line level
• Excellent communication skills
• Take pride in providing a high level of customer service
• Active Directory
• Windows 7-10
• Office 365
• Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Servers and Office packages
• Possess network infrastructure knowledge such as WiFi networks (beneficial)
• Ability to schedule own workload prioritising to meet the business needs
• Capable of working on own initiative, with a proactive and organised approach
