Job Title: Contracts Manager
Location: Crawley and surrounding area
Greenstar Cleaners are looking for a full time Contract Manager to join our team. This is a very varied role, and no day will be the same. We are a commercial cleaning company, based in Sussex who have been established for over 45 years.
We mainly work in the evenings, so core hours are usually between 12 noon to 9pm.
The Role:
- Management of day-to-day aspects relating to the management and maintenance of the cleaning service within the contract specification for around 50 – 80 clients sites.
- Have full understanding and working knowledge of the clients’ expectations.
- Responsible for work allocation to the cleaning team, keeping within the specified detail of the contract, the financial budget and working principles. Plan staff rotas and manage staff hours worked, sickness and annual leave.
- Manage and supervise a team of employees in designated contracts.
- Train and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Stock ordering and management
- Carry out scheduled cleaning audits to monitor and manage cleaner’s performance and adherence to Company standards as per the requirements of the contract.
- Comply with all Company & Client policies and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH, you must demonstrate awareness of any site specific hazards and follow company procedures to manage.
- Carrying out any other duties that are required as directed by the Directors
The Person:
- Experience in the cleaning industry and of managing a cleaning account
- A "hands-on" attitude and has a balance of personnel management skills and business sense, to ensure operational success.
- People orientated and a team player
- Able to effectively manage cleaning and supervisory staff.
- An excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills
- Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Prepared to cover clean when required.
- Flexible on working times
You will need:
- A NEBOSH or IOSH Certification would be excellent
- Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation and requirements is essential
- A valid UK driver’s license, satisfactory references and right to work in the UK.
- A DBS certificate will be required in due course.
