Job Role: Contract Production Team Leader
Job Type: Contract
Location: Chirnside
Salary: £40 - £50 per hour
Our client, a renowned and admired manufacturing business of paper products, is currently hiring for a Production Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure safety, quality, and production targets are met in a cost-effective manner.
- Oversee safe and efficient production runs, including restarts during interruptions.
- Provide leadership, motivation, and direction to the team.
- Support training and development initiatives for team members.
- Coordinate with maintenance to maximise operational efficiency.
- Plan efficient conversion of all products.
- Monitor water usage and implement corrective actions.
- Lead tier 1 meetings and maintain work areas to 5s standards.
- Participate in lean activities to improve processes.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in the paper making industry.
- Positive mindset towards safety and quality.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities.
- Flexibility to work within a 5-shift system.
