Form of workI am currently working with a local authority in the Hampshire area looking for an experienced Litigation and Planning solicitor for an initial period of 3 months. (Housing disrepair experience desirable)Job Summary:This is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join a committed and highly regarded in house legal team. The legal services team is professional, friendly and inclusive team. The purpose of the role is to assist the Council to deliver day to day operational transactions, the Council Plan priorities and the Council’s regeneration projects to enhance the economic prosperity of the Council.Duties:• To give effect to the policies and decisions of the Council• To maintain a knowledge and awareness of developments in relevant areas of law• To support the Council in its Procurement and delivery of the Council priorities• Drafting negotiating and advising on standard and bespoke forms of contract in compliance with the Council’s Contract Procedure Rules and the EU procurement regime• Legal advice and assistance on all levels of tender and Procurement from initial procurement and OJEU notices• To undertake complex and high value Contract related cases as well as projects of major or corporate significance for the team.Details:* 3 months (potentially longer)* Hybrid – ideally 2 days a week in the office, could potentially be negotiated depending on experienceWe would like to attract talent from all corners of the Property world for this role.
