I am working with a client who were established in 2013 to serve the insurance market, offering incident response for domestic fuel oil spills. Since then, we ve expanded rapidly. Today we manage complex environmental incidents for the construction, energy, chemical, industrial, and agricultural markets operating from 6 sites across the UK and Ireland.

The Role Contracts Manager
- As a Contracts Manager you will manage multiple construction projects concurrently from inception through to completion. You ll lead and supervise a site team to undertake building works, groundworks, and remediation in relation primarily to oil spill incidents at domestic properties.
- This includes reinstatement internally and externally to original condition. Specific duties will include:
- Costing scope of work, reading and understanding Structural Engineer plans to write method statements that can be achieved in a timely manner
- Managing employees and sub-contractor performance, carrying out site visits, audits and coordinating snagging
- Working closely with our in-house Environmental Consultants to deliver building works whilst ensuring remediation of properties to remove contamination from the buildings and land
- Ensuring all projects are fully QHSE compliant, producing and recording timely documentation
- Developing relationships with clients and homeowners to ensure transparency at all stages
- Compiling interim and final accounts ready for invoicing
- Identifying training needs for Site Operatives, delivering toolbox talks and updates on procedures
The Package
- Permanent contract, working Monday to Friday 8am to 16:30pm
- Salary GBP40,000 dependant on experience
- Potential to earn an annual discretionary bonus
- Car allowance, with business related travel expenses paid
- Employer pension contribution of 3%; employee 5%
- 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to a maximum of 25 days plus bank holidays with length of service

Experience / Skills Requried
- Experience gained working in a similar role managing projects within a construction and / or remediation environment or similar
- Excellent people management skills, with the ability to influence and coach others and drive high levels of productivity from the team
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise with clients, customers and all staff
- Good planning and organisation skills, with an analytical approach to problem solving
- Full UK driving licence
- Although not essential, an SMSTS qualification would be advantageous.
