Experienced Contracts Manager / Construction Manager required.

A growing commercial principle contractor with an unrivalled reputation for customer satisfaction are seeking a Contracts Manager to join their busy and expanding team, if you are looking to work in a busy, thriving environment big enough to take on substantial commercial works but small enough for your efforts to get recognised this could be the opportunity you have been looking for.

The company, who deliver fit out, refurb and the full range of construction services are seeking a Contracts Manager that has qualifications in Building and/or Trade qualifications, or equivalent experience along with a solid commercial background. They must have full experience, knowledge and understanding of the wide range of various building trades, including up-to-date building techniques and methodologies.

The Contracts Manager responsibilities include all commercial aspects of the projects from inception to project delivery through to completion and final account.
The successful Contracts Manager will have a proactive approach and be an effective communicator. Along with proven experience in negotiating, both internally and externally with customers. This position would also suit a Senior Project Manager looking for a step up to Contracts Manager.

Main Duties;

To manage building projects, in a profitable and credible way, whilst endeavouring to exceed client expectations. In addition;

• To ensure ALL company policies and procedures are adhered to

• Co-ordination and Management of contracts and pre-start meetings

• Management of on-site labour and subcontractors

• To attend regular meetings with clients to review operation of the contracts and to assess and maintain client satisfaction

• To make site visits to price jobs and prepare estimates

• Undertake where necessary, site safety and site maintenance inspections

Key Skills & Experience;

• Commercial awareness

• Planning and communication skills

• Health & Safety Management

• Ability to manage change

• Management skills

• Good Computer Literacy – To include MS Office

• Negotiation skills

Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent but this is not mandatory

The ideal candidate will hold certificates in;

• SMSTS
• CSCS
• First Aid
