WHAT TO EXPECT
We are looking for a Talented Transmission and Driveline Control Engineer, who will be working within an Agile framework in the Propulsion Domain based at JLR’s Gaydon location. This role will be part of the technical delivery team for Transmission and Driveline Control systems and will see you support the Lead Engineers with all stages of the product delivery lifecycle. Through this role you will also help embed best practice in everything we do by developing methods, processes and tools.
In this role you will be part of the team delivering the electrified future at JLR, working on the latest technologies with a highly motivated and supportive group of people. You will have excellent development opportunities both in technical upskilling and professional progression.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll be a key part of the development of Transmission and Driveline control systems including the future vision, architecture development, requirements, test methods and documentation.
Duties will include:
- Working with internal and external software delivery teams ensuring that delivery meets control system requirements.
- You’ll contribute to the development of tools and methodologies used to improve the control system design processes.
- Confidently and clearly present issues and proposed feasibility solutions, as well as provide status on a regular basis to all stakeholder levels
- We will want you to support others in resolving key technical issues
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- You’ll have experience working in a vehicle testing environment.
- You'll be an individual who operates independently but thoroughly enjoys team work too
- You have tenacity, drive, and perseverance to deliver
- A good people influencer and engager with the ability to provide calrity on complex ideas / issues
- You'll have an agile mindset; views challenges as opportunities
- An individual that has a continuous improvement approach to their own development.
- You possess a full driving licence
