WHAT TO EXPECT

Within the System Design team, you will be part of the team delivering the electrified future at JLR, working on the latest technologies with a highly motivated and supportive group of people.
As a Control Engineer - Thermal, you will support the development of our control systems through its architecture, requirements, and test methods to ensure engineering standards are met. You will be expected to apply your continuous improvement approach when faced with calibration, validation, or system design issues in projects. You will be a main part of the electrification that is occurring within JLR, using your previous knowledge to impact the business while simultaneous growing as an individual as the business grows.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities
Support the development of several control systems including the future vision, architecture development, requirements, test methods and documentation.
Lead resolution of issues within area of expertise to ensure robust launch of products and respond to the feedback from the calibration team.
Confidently and clearly present issues and proposed feasibility solutions, as well as provide status on a regular basis to all stakeholder levels.
Support others in resolving key technical issues.
Use vehicle data analysis in order to drive improvements.
Effective communication within Agile framework and with key stakeholders.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You can effectively demonstrate Engineering solutions and complex ideas and communicate this to a wider audience.
Experience in developing control systems.
Experience in system control design/development/delivery.
Prior knowledge/experience of working on distributed control systems for automotive propulsion features
