How you'll play your part

We're looking for someone highly-motivated and confident, who can help steer the Van business towards achievement of its short and long term profitability targets, including all associated monthly reporting, short term forecasts, operative planning and critical appraisal of business cases.

You'll apply your board knowledge and experience in finance and controlling to take responsibility for delivering both the monthly financial reporting and planning processes for the Van division (>GBP1bn Net Turnover), both internally and with Mercedes-Benz AG, including steering and making recommendations to the business as well as delivery and communication of relevant analysis and presentation materials. You'll be identifying risks in terms of plan achievement and opportunities (based on incorporation actuals development), suggest corrective measures and challenge the operational areas where necessary.

You'll manage Used Cars and Aftersales controlling including financial planning, monthly closing and business case evaluations. You'll apply your experience in providing credible commercial analysis of financial reporting and communicating with senior management to be proactive when making recommendations to the Management teams regarding all matters of a financial matter.

You will ideally be educated to degree level and qualified CIMA/ACCA or equivalent and have excellent Excel and Powerpoint skills as well proficiency in data analytics tools (SAP BI, Power BI, Tableau etc).
