The Opportunity
Your role will be part of the Battery Assembly Centre Controls department. You will work with Maintenance to cover breakdowns during production time, improve KPIs, optimise production processes and maintain controls equipment. You will be working closely with control engineers and be expected to develop your skills as a PLC engineer.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Your key accountabilities and responsibilities include:

• To work as part of the maintenance team to ensure a safe and efficient equipment performance is delivered within the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People & the Environment framework
  
• Act as technical response to Controls related issues during production
  
• Perform Root Cause Analysis of Controls issues and developing solutions to issues
  
• Work as part of the Controls team on improvement projects
  
• Contribute to the delivery of Health and Safety initiatives to maintain standards as required
  
• Work on waste within maintenance and continually seek efficiencies in all areas
  
• Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager/group leader in connection with their job as may be requested
  WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  Essential:
  
• Previous experience in maintenance operations in Manufacturing
  
• Relevant indentured or advanced modern apprenticeship
  
• Technical (mechanical and electrical) automotive engineering skills gained in Manufacturing
  
• Knowledge of Electrical Control / Mechanical Systems
  Desirable:
  
• Good understanding of Electrical Systems
  
• Knowledge of Controls systems
  
• Knowledge of Studio/Logix 5000
  
• Knowledge of ABB robots
  
• Experience of Manufacturing Quality Operating Standard
