As a Conveyancing Legal Assistant, you will be integral to the team, working closely with two Partners, a Consultant Solicitor, a Solicitor, two Paralegals, and another Legal Assistant. The role promises a high volume of administrative responsibilities, offering the chance to refine your skills in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Handle initial client inquiries professionally, providing accurate cost estimates.
- Manage incoming calls from clients and external parties, ensuring top-notch client service.
- Proactively follow up with clients and third parties to expedite processes.
- Initiate both electronic and physical files, aligning with the firm's aim for a paperless office.
- Maintain meticulous records, ensuring accessibility and currency of all files.
- Coordinate contract packs, Land Registry documents, and searches.
- Craft precise exchange and completion correspondence.
- Execute pre-completion searches and set up completions.
- Support team targets with a collaborative approach.
- Oversee office post to ensure efficient document management.
- Maintain office resources to facilitate smooth operations.
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum availability of 4 days per week, with occasional Saturdays.
- Strong communication and client care skills, adept at building rapport.
- Initiative and adaptability, with a willingness to support various office tasks.
- Willingness to work across multiple office locations as required.
- Ability to work autonomously while also being a team player.
- Excellent organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficient typing skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
- Dedicated and loyal professional with a strong work ethic.
Desirable Attributes:
- Previous experience in a conveyancing department.
