SalaryMy client, a well-recognised insurance company, are looking for a Corporate Accountant to join their London team on a contract basis. You should be a qualified accountant and have experience working within the insurance market. As a Corporate Accountant you should be experience in UK GAAP and US GAAP, have strong knowledge of ledger systems and be process driven, alongside currently working in a similar role.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Corporate entity reporting including commentary
- Statutory reporting for the UK and overseas
- Audit queries
- Preparing board papers to support financial statements and board packs for corporate entities
- Regulatory reporting to Lloyd’s and other UK overseas regulators
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Balance sheet substantiation and comprehensive reconciliations
- Tax returns for UK and overseas
- Lloyd’s related submissions and returns
- Provide tax certificates and other tax related documents
- Ensure complete, accurate and timely broker financial reviews
- Stay up to date with changes in reporting standards
- Qualified accountant with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in the insurance market, preferably Lloyd’s
- UK GAAP and US GAAP
- Strong analytical skills and good knowledge of financial process and controls
- SAP experience
- Tax knowledge – desirable
- Singapore financial reporting standards – desirable
- Confident self starter with the ability to hit the ground running
- £600 pd umbrella
- 6 month contract initially
- Hybrid working from London – 3 days pw in office
