Job Description
We are currently looking for a Corporate Development Associate to join our client's team in London. The successful applicant will be involved in the origination and execution of M&A transactions, in the scope of the company's growth and expansion plans.
We are seeking a strong professional interested in working in a dynamic company with responsibility for supporting our mergers & acquisitions (M&A) strategy at a global level.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Corporate Development strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential M&A targets, industry trends and growth opportunities.
- Manage the entire deal lifecycle, from deal sourcing and due diligence to negotiation, contracting and integration.
- Build and maintain relationships with external partners, including potential acquisition targets, advisers, industry analysts, and investors.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to assess business needs, evaluate investment opportunities, and execute on strategic initiatives.
- Analyse financial and business data to support valuation & deal structuring exercises, and to provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Support and lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of strategic initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitive landscape.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Corporate Development, transaction services and/or M&A advisory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with a strong commercial awareness.
- Proven track record of successful involvement in the origination and execution of M&A transactions.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience in financial modelling and analysis, presentations, and reports (proficient in MS-Office suite).
- Experience in the TMT industry is preferred but not required.
