Location: Bedford. We expect our senior leadership to be visible with staff and key stakeholders to build relationships and deliver business goals. This tends to equate to being physically present with those groups around three days a week. You must be a full-time UK resident.

The Human Resources profession play a vital role in making sure the organisation is living its purpose and values. Reporting to our Executive Director People, Skills and Culture, the newly created role of Corporate Director, HR, will be responsible for the delivery of the MaPS people strategy, taking a system-wide approach to ensuring processes, structures and people are aligned with MaPS’ mission, vision, culture, behaviours and corporate strategy. You will take responsibility for ensuring that MaPS has a committed, fit for purpose and future proof workforce needed to deliver its strategic goals and objectives. As a key member of our senior leadership team, your role will extend into the wider engaging with the board and across MaPS, working closely with other Corporate Directors to run the organisation on a day to day basis.
The new Corporate Director, HR will draw on a track record of shaping and delivering successful workforce planning and developing people strategies which support the delivery of business outcomes. As one of our new Corporate Directors, you will be an experienced leaders who can demonstrate a strong grasp of core competencies across risks management, employee relations, development of strategic business cases, contract management, forecasting, financial spend and controls. We need inspirational leaders who can demonstrate experience of taking people with them on a journey of transformational change and be passionate about the impact we have on the lives of people across the UK. Culture is as important as capability, and you will demonstrate a values set in line with those we have developed at MaPS.
