Corporate Finance Executive

We’re seeking a commercial, ambitious Corporate Finance Executive with excellent technical skills and real estate financing experience to support the continued expansion of our best-in-class Build to Rent (BTR) portfolio across the UK.

Our client is a leading investor, developer and operator of high quality BTR with a combined portfolio of c. 4,000 units across 11 operational and development sites. We have recently completed 541 apartments in Cardiff and Sheffield and will complete a further 962 apartments in Glasgow and Edinburgh in the coming year.

We have a secured pipeline of over 1,700 apartments and are actively pursuing additional sites so we are recruiting a Corporate Finance Executive to support the FD, CEO and Acquisitions team in executing transactions and putting in place both debt and equity funding arrangements.

This role will be at the heart of these transactions, engaging with investors and lenders, undertaking financial modelling and co-ordinating the team and external advisors through the deal execution process. The role will also support the Finance Director on corporate structuring, tax planning and other commercial corporate matters.

The role reports to the Finance Director and is based at our HQ in central London (Marble Arch).

Responsibilities:

Lead on Corporate Finance aspects of property acquisitions, disposals and funding of developments (including development joint ventures and forward funding arrangements:)

• transaction structuring and tax planning.
• evaluation of investor bids and co-investment proposals.
• transaction execution including preparation, negotiation and review of transaction documents.

Arrangement of debt including acquisition, construction and investment finance:

• maintain network of lender relationships.
• source, compare and negotiate terms for debt funding requirements.
• execute debt funding arrangements.
• determine and execute hedging strategy.

• Undertake financial modelling for the above.
• Maintain efficient corporate structure of the group including maintenance of service agreement arrangements between group entities.
• Oversee corporation tax compliance and planning across the group.
• Manage corporate insurance arrangements across the group.
• Maintain knowledge of corporate structuring, financing and tax matters. relevant to our sector to proactively guide the approach within the group and brief others.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key tax, legal and other advisors.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Real estate Corporate Finance experience covering acquisitions, disposals, development, joint ventures, forward funding, debt arrangement, tax planning per above.
• Financial modelling expertise covering debt, equity and other structured financing arrangements.

• Keen intellectual ability to analyse corporate structuring situations and propose potential solutions.
• Clear communicator, able to summarise and explain commercial impacts of structuring decisions.

• Structured and organised to effectively prioritise tasks to meet project deadlines.

Package
