AJ Chambers are pleased to be in partnership with a Leading Regional accountancy firm, assisting them in their search for a Corporate Finance Executive/Assistant Manager, to join their offices in Cambridge.
This is an exceptionally rare opportunity to join a well-established Corporate Finance team, where you will gain exposure working on deals typically spanning in value between £1m - £50m with a mix of corporate, private equity and capital market transactions from day one.
You will also benefit from a market leading hybrid working policy, meaning you can work where and when you want, with the exception of attending the office for meetings or going on client visits.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparing valuation working documents and final deliverables, such as letters, reports, and presentations.
- Assisting in the creation of reports for contentious matters and presenting findings in a format accepted for use as expert evidence.
- Supporting the team in a variety of small to mid-market transactions by preparing financial due diligence reports, information memoranda, and financial models.
- Collaborating with the team to execute buy-side and sell-side advisory projects, including M&A, MBO, and EOT scenarios.
- Examining financial statements, management information, and deal documentation.
- Reviewing legal documents, including sale and purchase agreements and completion accounts.
- Aiding clients with completion procedures, including cash and net debt analysis.
- Conducting market research to support company valuations and identify potential buyers for sale mandates, as well as target companies for clients seeking acquisitions.
- Attending client meetings and, when appropriate, leading these meetings without a Partner present, while establishing a strong rapport with the client.
- Fostering internal and external relationships to promote the Strategic Corporate Finance team.
- Developing best practice guidelines for valuations by attending relevant external training courses and sharing the acquired knowledge and support within the Strategic Corporate Finance team.
Experience required:
- ACA finalist / qualified or CFA qualification.
- Some degree of Corporate Finance experience including specific experience in undertaking company valuations using a range of methodologies.
- Experience in working in a client-facing role with SME / owner-managed businesses and an understanding of the factors impacting their operations.
