My client, a large utility provider is looking to hire a Corporate Finance Manager to join the Corporate Finance Team.
This is a great opportunity to do a very strategic role, making critical decisions which will drive the future of the business. You will engage with a truly diverse range of stakeholders including regulators, rating agencies an investors.
This role sits in a specialist team who are responsible for analysing key financial drivers of the company, understanding ad optimising outcomes for shareholders, customers, debt investors and regulators.
Some responsibilities:
- Assist in progressing relationships with credit rating agencies
- Maintain detailed understanding of credit analysis and methodology around Whole Business Securitisation
- Develop and assess the credit impact of various initiatives
- Produce analysis for going concern and LTVS
- Liaise with Treasury team on finance-ability considerations for funding and hedging
- Preparation of papers for the various Boards around capital structure
- Ongoing review of index-linked hedging strategy
- Act as key support for the Investor Relations team
- Support Commercial Strategy and investor Relations and Sustainability teams
Requirements:
- Experience in developing and operating financial models. This is a very key part of the role and a modelling test will be part of the interview process.
- Strong familiarity with credit analysis and a good understanding of Corporate Finance principles
- Strong financial background
- Accountancy qualification
- Critical thinker
- Excellent communication skills, relationship management and presentation skills
- Enthusiastic and pro active approach
- Previous utility sector experience desirable
