Charity People is delighted to have partnered with the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) on the search for a Corporate Membership Officer on a fixed term, 12 month fixed-term contract. The role will be responsible for managing key corporate partnerships, as well as feeding into the long term development of their corporate partnership offering.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an ambition individual looking to further their career in relationship and project management, during an exciting transition period as ZSL works towards relaunching their corporate membership programme in 2025.
Location: Central London location with 2-3 days in the office per week
Salary: £35,000 – £39,000

About the role
Working within the Corporate Partnerships Team, and managing an Events Coordinator, the Corporate Membership Officer will be responsible for overseeing the management, coordination, and delivery of ZSL’s Corporate Membership programme. The Corporate Partnerships team has enjoyed considerable success in the last few years particularly with regards to retaining and expanding Corporate Memberships and delivering them to a high standard, and they count some incredible global partners amongst their funders.
This role plays a crucial role in managing and nurturing their membership portfolio, while inspiring new audiences to adopt positive steps to support conservation. This position requires excellent project management and organisational skills, sound judgement and diplomacy, and an outstanding approach to client service
The postholder will be motivated, and tenacious, and possess the ability to pre-empt team needs and potential challenges, as well as the confidence and experience to use their initiative and creativity to solve problems whilst contending with tight deadlines.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Previous experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external, to effectively deliver to pre-agreed plans and activities.
- Previous experience managing complex projects, ideally within a fundraising environment.
- Previous experience in contract development and negotiations
- Familiarity with managing competing priorities and delegating effectively.
