Main Purpose of the Role:
- Manage the Corporate Tax compliance function for a portfolio of clients
- Deal with HMRC enquiries into the affairs of those clients
- Support the Corporate Tax Partner in providing bespoke tax planning advisory service to clients
- Provide support to the Partners and Managers as part of the Firm’s wider tax consultancy service to clients

Alliotts is a dynamicmulti-disciplinary accountancy and business advisory practice currently operating from offices in London and Guildford. The Firm comprises 12Partners who have the breadth of experience and the acumen to enable the Firm to get quickly to the heart of client matters and build a thorough understanding of the issues. The post holder will be based in the London office.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the compliance function for Corporate Tax clients. This includes:
- Preparation of corporation tax returns for a broad range of clients
- Monitoring tax return progress to ensure timely completion and submission to HMRC
- Advising Corporate Tax clients of tax liabilities due on a timely basis
- Liaising directly with clients to ensure both accurate and prompt completion of tax returns
- Communicating effectively with clients both orally and in writing
- Dealing with all client queries promptly and efficiently
- Reporting to the client Partner on all matters relevant to the client’s tax affairs
- Identifying tax planning opportunities and following these through with the relevant client Partner
- Dealing with detailed HMRC enquiries from inception to completion
- Dealing with ad hoc tax consultancy assignments as and when required
Other Duties and Tasks:
- Attending clients’ premises as and when required
- Working with Partners and staff to provide a personal, professional service for the benefit of both clients and the Firm.
- Such other duties as may be reasonably expected of the post holder.

Decision Making / Freedom to Act:
This is a responsible role in which the individual will have a degree of autonomy and will take necessary decisions in the ordinary course of providing a comprehensive tax service to clients.
Dimensions of Job:
Responsibility for the compliance function for a portfolio of Corporate Tax clients including large companies, owner managed businesses, charities, groups and mutual trading companies. The role is corporate focussed and includes ad-hoc consulting work which is estimated may take up 30% - 40% of the role.
