SalaryJob Title: Cost Accountant
We are recruiting for a Cost Accountant, this role is working for a well-established and reputable organisation based in the Solihull area on a permanent basis
You will be:
- Working alongside the Finance Controller, ensuring that the results are accurately consolidated with solid explanations for variances
- Controlling and reporting all plant launch costs
- Preparing a detailed monthly launch cost analysis and work with the launch team to develop accurate forecasts
- Validating and approving sales and purchase material prices and Purchase Orders
- Working closely with manufacturing operations to ensure accurate and timely capture of all production costs and effective analysis of production variances
- Supporting the finance team at each month end close, including posting monthly journal entries, completing account reconciliations
- Providing the cost accounting expertise for the manufacturing operations
The ideal candidate will:
- Be a Qualified Accountant CIMA/ACCA (desirable)
- Have significant manufacturing finance experience
- Have commercial finance experience
- Be a business leader that can drive results across disciplines
