Are you an experienced Cover Supervisor looking for a long term placement in a School that commits to your career development and training? We are working with a School based in Chelmsley Wood who are keen to commit to determined individuals who want to make a difference in students lives. The initially want someone until the end of the academic year who will supported by an in-house programme that may lead to an offer to compete your QTS.
This school prides itself on preparing children for their lifelong journey ahead. The area this school serves has its own challenges, with many children from disadvantaged families and a high level of deprivation. Your students are coming to school for a safe space and have an abundance of pastoral care available to them and their families. Here, they are empowered and motivated, they feel like their voices are heard. They are even involved in the interview process of new staff, so be prepared for their questions!
Academy leaders have made vast improvements to the curriculum in the past few years, and you will be clear on what you need to teach. In your lessons students embark on a journey covering content and developing skills through engaging and practical activities. They will experience a fluid movement throughout KS3, KS4 and potentially KS5 where applicable.

The successful candidate will need to:
- Commit 5 days a week of general cover starting ASAP until the end of the academic year
- Relevant secondary experience in a similar setting
- Strong behaviour management skills with a firm but kind and empathetic approach
- Flexibility to work in different year groups and subjects delivering pre planned work
- A team player attitude
- Be committed to high quality teaching, learning and improving outcomes for all students
- Have high expectations of yourself in your career and the pupils you teach
Pay: £80-£150 per day
