Creative Director 

Position Type: Permanent, 4 day working week (4 day working week for 5 days’ pay!)

Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days in the office (Shepherds Bush), 1 day from home & every Friday is non working day as standard

The role:

Joining This is Beyond as a Creative Director offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of luxury travel events, driving innovation, and creativity while making a mark in the industry. We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Creative Director to lead the conceptualisation and execution of our luxury travel trade shows and events. As the Creative Director at This is Beyond, you will be responsible for guiding our creative team and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver world-class experiences that surpass industry standards and captivate our audience. Reporting to the CMO, this role will require a strong understanding of luxury travel trends, a keen eye for design, and a passion for creating extraordinary event experiences.

What you will do:

Creative Vision and Strategy:

Develop and communicate a compelling creative vision for each trade
show and event, aligning with the company's brand values and overall
objectives. Collaborate with Event Directors to define long-term creative
strategies that elevate the company's reputation and position in the
luxury travel industry.

Design Direction:

Oversee the design process, from initial concept sketches to the creation
of visual assets and collaterals, ensuring a consistent and visually
stunning brand representation across all touchpoints. Provide creative
direction for stage designs, exhibition layouts, interactive installations,
and other event elements.

Team Leadership:

Initially manage and mentor a team of 6 creative professionals (design
studio), fostering a collaborative and high-performing creative
environment. Set clear goals and expectations, providing feedback and
guidance to help team members reach their full potential. 

Partner Collaboration:

Nurture and maintain strong relationships with design agencies, production teams, and other creative partners.
Budget Acumen:  

Ensure that the creative department operates efficiently within budget
constraints, optimising resources and identifying cost-effective solutions
without compromising on quality.
Event Evaluation and Improvement:
Conduct post-event evaluations, gathering feedback from attendees,
clients, and team members to identify areas for improvement and
implement lessons learned in future events.

 

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Marketing, or a related field. Additional experience in Event Management will be a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Creative Director/ head of Creative or in a similar creative leadership role, ideally in agency or the luxury travel, events, or hospitality industry.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing successful event concepts and designs for luxury brands and high-end clientele.
  • Deep understanding of luxury travel trends and an ability to anticipate and integrate emerging industry themes into event designs.
  • Proficiency in design software, project management tools, and multimedia production techniques.
  • Outstanding leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team of creative professionals.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to articulate and sell creative concepts to stakeholders.
  • A passion for excellence, attention to detail, and a dedication to delivering unparalleled event experiences.
