Portfolio Credit Control are currently partnered with a specialist finance and accounting business who operate within the NHS, IT and Recruitment sectors. This ever-growing business are currently looking to strengthen to credit function with an organically grown role as a Team Leader. This is a great opportunity for someone who is already established at Team Leader level or is looking to take a step up and challenge themselves!JOB DESCRIPTIONWorking within a team of four controllers and responsible for one reporting line and reporting into the Credit Control Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:Collections via phone and emailQuery management, action queried debt, investigate and resolve within agreed SLA's with all key stakeholdersCarry out billing, collection, and reporting activities according to specific deadlinesInvestigate and solve client issuesMonitor and maintain up to date client recordsComplete all due diligence on all new client applicationsCustomer reconciliationsManagement of shared inbox (adhering to SLA's)Liaising with shared service centre in India for cash allocationsLiaising with the shared service centre in India for payroll queriesPreparing monthly ledgers for client reviewAd hoc dutiesMaintaining accurate detailed communication notes within systemOnboarding new clients and collating relevant billing information to reduce queriesAssist Payroll team in answering phone and taking messages during busy periodsAssist Payroll team with billing of clients when requiredLiaise with factoring /Invoice Discount company where requiredLeading the team and taking responsibility for one direct reportManagement of the daily tasks within the teamEscalations of debt over 60days to the credit managerProvide cover for the credit manager for all leaveOwnership of key accountsEscalation managementSUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:Excellent communication skillsExperience of VMS clients and reconciliationWorking in a finance department of high volume pay and bill functionProven track record of successful debt reductionMinimum 3 years' Credit Control experienceAble to complete Vlook ups, Pivot TablesExperience within the recruitment industry desirable but not essentialFactoring / Invoice Discount knowledge desirable but not essentialINDCC46550BR
