Credit Controller

Your new company
A well respected and successful company in Chorley is now seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their team for a period of 12 months, covering maternity leave. This organisation has an excellent presence in Lancashire, with multiple sites across the region.
Your new role
In your new role as Credit Controller, you will be managing your own ledger of customer accounts, whereby you will be responsible for the chasing of outstanding debt, via telephone, email and letters where necessary. Alongside the chasing of debt, you will be the first point of contact for the customer accounts on your ledger, managing queries and reissuing invoices where possible. You will carry out credit checks for new customers and be responsible for releasing orders within the specified payment terms. On a daily basis, you will complete cash allocation, banking, review debtor accounts and complete necessary amendments to maintain a healthy ledger.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will have strong experience working in a credit function and be able to demonstrate the ability to chase high volumes of debt, whilst maintaining and developing excellent customer relations. Good experience of systems and Excel is essential for this role, and you should be able to work as part of a team. Due to business needs, you will be available at short notice and be able to commit for a minimum of 12 months.
