Credit Controller 6-Month Ftc

Reed Accountancy are representing a globally recognised company, and they are recruiting for a Credit Controller to join them on a 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract. Working Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week, and paying a salary of: £24,000 - £25,000 per annum.

This vacancy is best suited to someone with history working in a similar Credit Control role, with strong communication, organisation, time management and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate must be someone who thrives working in fast-paced, challenging environments and who can not only work towards targets but exceed them. You must be a self-starter and team player, and with strong IT skills, with knowledge of Excel and SAP.
Based in Stockton, working within the Cash Collection team, you will be responsible for:

• Chasing customers regarding their overdue debts by telephone, letter and home visits
• Collecting debts and payments in a timely and effective manner and in line with company credit policy
• Negotiating repayment plans and identifying opportunities for customers delayed payments
• Reporting into senior managers of non-compliance such as returned cheques or direct debit payments
• Production of weekly/monthly reports in accordance with set requirements
• Starting legal proceedings if clients do not pay their debts on time
