Credit Controller

An internationally operating B2B wholesale and trading company are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join its friendly, hardworking accounts team, andtake ownership of all aspects of credit controlfor the UK and US businesses.You will proactively manage the sales debt of both businesses, interacting and building strong relationshipswith a wide range of global customers to reduce, influence, and manage the aged debt position - whilst maintaining the relationship and commercial bondwith the client.  You will also be responsible for theappropriate releasing of sales orders, andkeeping internal stakeholders updatedon the current debt position and status of debtors.
As Credit Controller, your role will include:

• Managing and reducing aged debt of the business
• Building effective working relationships both with clients externally and teams internally
• Chasing debt through the most effective style and method for each client - either over the phone or by email
• Submitting documentation to a third party for customer applications
• Resolving any customer invoice disputes
• Releasing sales orders for clients once financial obligations have been met
• Reconciling bank accounts, uploading invoices to customer portals when needed, posting bank transaction journals
• Producing debt or debtor related reports for senior management, using the ERP system and exporting data to MS Excel

I am interested in speaking with candidates who have proven experience working as aCredit Controller, credit control professional, Credit Control Manager, or Accounts Assistantwithin acommercial product led businessthat operates internationally, and who has experience working with multiple currencies and international customers. Experience using accounting systems or ERP systemsand strong MS Excel skills with the ability to manipulate / analyse data, use VLOOKUPs and various formulas is important, along with a solid understanding of accounts receivable / sales ledgerprocesses.
Salary c. £35,000 to £40,000 (depending on level of experience), plus up to 10% bonus.
