An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Controller to join this large fuel distribution company in Crewe.The focus is on service and the customer, and the people who work there are at the heart of this. This is a fast-paced, high volume role, dealing with domestic and commercial customers and working closely with key stakeholders within the finance team and the wider business. Some of your key responsibilities include:
- Cash Collection - Actively chase overdue debt, and make pro-active calls to ensure that invoices due are paid on time and in accordance with payment terms and credit limits
- Order Release - Review stopped orders on a regular basis, working closely with the sales departments
- Query Management - Identify and investigate queries, liasing with other departments to effectively resolve customer queries and maintain excellent service levels
- Ledger Management - Regular review of the debt ledger, reconciliation of accounts, and review of unallocated cash
ABOUT YOU
The Credit Controller role requires extensive experience in credit control, as well as someone who can/has:
- Good telephone manner and excellent communication skills
- Strong PC literacy skills
- Cash collection and arrears chasing experience
- Good relationship building skills
- Highly organised and able to work at a fast pace
- Work well under pressure
WHAT'S ON OFFER
This is a great opportunity to be part of a fast-growing business. The package includes:
- 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 5.30pm with start/finish times on a rota basis
- Occasional Saturdays during the peak (Winter) months, working 9am til 1pm as paid overtime (approx. 1 in 4)
